How to recognise advertising
- Affiliate links are labelled “Ad” right next to the link; recommendation boxes also carry an “Ad” label and an explanation.
- If you buy or book via an affiliate link, we may earn a commission. The price stays the same for you.
- Articles containing affiliate links carry a notice at the top.
- Paid content (should there ever be any) is labelled “Advertisement” (§ 26 Austrian Media Act).
- Our own products and memberships are named as such (offers of Bling Bling GmbH).
What affiliate links do not influence
Recommendations are based on our own use or research. Where we have not used something ourselves we phrase it neutrally (e.g. “compare”, “what to look for”) and claim no test results. Whether a provider runs an affiliate programme does not decide whether it is mentioned here.

Legal framework (Austria)
- § 26 Media Act: paid publications must be labelled as advertising.
- § 6 E-Commerce Act: commercial communication must be clearly recognisable as such, as must the client.
- Unfair Competition Act (UWG): advertising disguised as information is misleading.
